Emotional Empowerment Technique

 

EET

EMOTIONAL EMPOWERMENT TECHNIQUE

 

An easy to learn and easy to practice technique with profound long lasting results.

 

Basic principle:

Like cures like: this is the nature’s law of cure.

 

For the beginners:

Objective: Neutralization of undesirable emotional response to a stimulus

 

Preparation:

Note down a disturbing incidence on a piece of paper. Note down various aspects of this incidence on the same paper. Assess the personal discomfort (PD Score) in the scale of 0-10. State of no discomfort being 0 and 10 being a state of maximum unbearable emotional or physical discomfort.

 

Focus on 1 aspect at a time and with each aspect proceed with the following steps:

 

1.      Start the first round by giving the affirmation that “Even though I had/felt/experienced__(an aspect of a chosen incidence)__________, but still I choose to heal and integrate that part of me.”.  Affirm this sentence aloud 3 times while gently rubbing your knee joints or edge of your palm.

2.      Cover the thymus gland area in the upper part of your breast bone with both your palms and take 7 deep breaths.

3.       With your eyes shut, re-assess your feeling/emotion/pain. Give it a number in the scale of 0-10 where 0 = no pain/discomfort and 10 = unbearable pain/discomfort.

4.      If the pain/discomfort has disappeared totally, think of something which makes you happy and joyous If it has not disappeared totally, give it a number between 1 and 10 and start another round of EET affirming aloud/silently in your mind, “EVEN THOUGH I AM HOLDING ON TO ………__(an unresolved aspect of a chosen incidence)……….., BUT STILL I CHOOSE TO HEAL AND INTEGRATE THAT PART OF ME.”  While affirming this statement, rub your knee joints or the lower edge of your palm.

5.      Repeat step 2

6.      Re-assess on the scale of 0-10. If it is 0, think of some thing positive and beautiful. If the original issue is still present, continue with step 4 and 5.

7.      During and after the above mentioned steps if any other disturbing thought comes to your mind, note it down and give a number to that thought in the scale of 0 – 10. Design a fresh affirmation and continue from point 1 onwards.

 

8.      You can stop this process when all emotional and physical discomfort related to the chosen incidence and its various aspects subside to emotional Discomfort (ED)score 0 At this stage usually the mind becomes absolutely blank and thought-free. And there is a greater insight into the reason why you invited that incidence/individual or thought in your life.

 

Conclusion:

This process gets concluded when there is no uncomfortable emotional charge related to any aspect of the incidence you have worked with.

 

Note:

It is advisable to work with at least 21 such incidences in life which has caused you pain and discomfort. Deal with various aspects of that incidence. You can creatively use this process to reduce, craving/aversion/anger/hatred/worry/anger/fears with advance level training.
